What We Offer
Structured play and early learning activities.
In our warm, home-based childminding setting, structured play is at the heart of early development. We provide children with meaningful opportunities to explore, create, and imagine through carefully planned, engaging activities. In a nurturing home environment, children build confidence, develop resilience, and strengthen their critical thinking skills at their own pace.
Our guided play encourages positive social interaction while supporting cognitive growth and physical development in a natural, balanced way. By combining fun with purposeful learning, we help lay strong foundations for each child’s future. Here, every day is an opportunity for young minds to grow, learn, and thrive in a safe and supportive environment.
Nutritious meals & snack
At Mama Day Care, we provide children with three nutritious, balanced meals and healthy snacks each day, carefully prepared to support their growth and development. Mealtimes are relaxed and enjoyable, encouraging children to explore new tastes and build positive eating habits.
Our meal service is optional and available at £10 per full day, offering families added convenience and peace of mind.

Our opening hours
Our home is open Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 6:00pm, providing a full day of care.
Additional morning or afternoon sessions can be arranged in advance, subject to availability.
Please note that these extra sessions must be booked ahead of time and payment is required at the point of booking.
Resources & activities mapped to Ofsted learning areas.
Toys, resources, and equipment play a key role in supporting each child’s development. Guided by a Montessori approach, we carefully choose age-appropriate, hands-on materials that encourage independence, exploration, and self-led learning. Everyday activities are thoughtfully planned to spark curiosity, whether children are building with construction resources to develop problem-solving skills, or expressing themselves through creative play that supports fine motor development.
By creating a calm, nurturing space with a variety of purposeful resources, we ensure every child feels supported, engaged, and inspired. Our approach follows each child’s unique interests and pace, helping to build confidence, encourage critical thinking, and foster a lifelong love of learning.
Government - funded applicants are welcome
If you’re eligible, you can make use of government-funded childcare hours, with availability depending on whether you qualify for 15 or 30 hours.

Out of term services
At Mama Day Care, we understand that many families need reliable childcare beyond the school term.
Therefore, we operate all year round, providing consistent, dependable care to support working parents throughout the year.
